How to See Street View in Google Earth using iPad,iPhone & PC

Google Earth's popuraltiy skyrocketed ever since they introuduced street view facility. You can visit any street of the world with just a few click. This post aim to help you to see street view in your PC or mobile phones. Rememebr that for each device( let it be a laptop, ipad, iphone or android ), you need to follow specific set of intructions in order to see streebe level images.

No matter which device you want to use to seet street view, you have to follow to generic steps:

Backgound : before showing you how to find a street view in Google earth, let me explain a little history of this stunning earth viewing software. In new Google Earth 6, street view has been integrated with the 3D view. If you are browsing the Map and want to see street view, then pick the pegman icon , on the right side(just below navigation control). Put the pegman in the street map where roads are shown with blue lines. Remember roads shown in only blue lines are available in street level imagery. To move around the streets use your mouse button or just scroll it. If you are not familiar with how to look around the street level in Google Earth, just explore the entire button and scrolling option in your mouse-it’s really a fun!

Set up Street View in PC

To see the street view start the Google earth software for the first time in your computer, you will see a globe. Now, For street view, just go to the left-bottom side tab of the Google Earth, Layers, and in the Layers section you will see a box called “street view”-click it to enable the street view. Using mouse, you have to point to any country or location where you want to visit and double click your left mouse button to magnify the globe, magnifying is also possible by scrolling the mouse forward. A single left-click will stop magnifying the globe. In the way of magnifying if you see the name of the city you are looking for, just double click the city name and enter the city map. Over the city map, you will find many cams like icons, move your mouse pointer in any of the icon and it will show you the street address. In the address window, click the “jump into the street view” and view the street. Now, keep virtually moving on the city with clicks of your mouse-that’s how you can view any street in Google Earth.

If you want to find any particular area or address, then the easiest way to get it is to type the name of the area in the top-right side search box “Fly To”of Google earth, instantly you will see that area in your computer screen with all the details including longitude and latitude. Now, what you have to do is to move your mouse through the streets and keep magnifying the image by clicking to get a clear picture of the streets.

How to find a particular street address in Google Earth-For example, you just want to find any restaurant in Glasgow, UK. Then in the search option of Google Earth select the “Find Business” tab and in the “What” field type restaurant and then in the “where” field type Glasgow and click the search button- the search result will give you a number of restaurant addresses in the left pane. Double click in any one of the addresses; this will give you the detail map of the restaurant, shown on the right-hand pane.
